Arthur Nathaniel Booth, who gained fame in 2015 after a viral video showed him breaking down in tears when a judge recognized him as a former middle school classmate, has been arrested for his involvement in a series of crimes in Miami. The Miami Police Department reported that Booth impersonated a water inspector and a plumber to gain access to victims’ homes, where he stole jewelry and snatched gold chains. One victim, an 85-year-old man, had his chain stolen while he was showing Booth how to open his bathtub faucet. Booth is believed to be connected to other incidents, according to authorities, who asserted that he belonged behind bars. Nearly a decade ago, Booth appeared in front of Judge Mindy Glazer, who had been his classmate in middle school. Glazer expressed her disappointment at seeing Booth in court and encouraged him to change his lifestyle. Booth currently faces charges including robbery, burglary, home invasion, and robbery without a weapon. Legal representation for Booth was not specified.
