QB Dak Prescott and Dallas Cowboys reach historic $240 million contract agreement


Quarterback Dak Prescott has signed a record-breaking four-year, $240 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. The deal includes $231 million in guaranteed money, making it the biggest contract in league history at $60 million a season. Prescott, a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, is heading into his ninth season with the Cowboys and coming off a career-high season in which he threw for 4,516 yards and 36 touchdowns. Despite his success, his postseason record is 2-5. Prescott joins receiver CeeDee Lamb as key offensive players who have signed new deals this offseason. The Cowboys will open their season against the Cleveland Browns.
