New Wales manager Craig Bellamy has shown his proactive approach by making five changes to the team for their match against Montenegro. Karl Darlow, Chris Mepham, Lewis Koumas, Kieffer Moore, and Ollie Cooper have been brought in to replace Danny Ward, Aaron Ramsey, Brennan Johnson, Jordan James, and Sorba Thomas. Darlow, the Leeds keeper, will be making his international debut at the age of 33.
The team’s first selection performed well against Turkey in their last match, but Bellamy is not afraid to shake things up. The match against Montenegro will be a test for the new lineup as they look to continue their success in the Nations League.
In other Nations League action, France is set to take on Belgium, Israel will face Italy, Slovenia will play against Kazakhstan, Norway will go up against Austria, Turkey will play Iceland, Cyprus suffered a 0-4 loss to Kosovo, and Romania will take on Lithuania.
All matches are scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm BST, except for one game. Stay tuned for updates on the matches and to see how the new Welsh lineup fares against Montenegro. Bellamy’s bold and decisive tactics will be put to the test as he looks to make his mark as the new manager of the Welsh national team.
