Recent Explosions of New Devices Reported in Lebanon

Multiple device explosions continue to occur across Lebanon following an attack targeting Hezbollah members with exploding pagers on Tuesday, which left at least 12 people dead and nearly 3,000 injured. The wounded individuals were taken to hospitals in Beirut’s southern suburbs after their wireless pagers exploded. Israeli officials are believed to be behind the attack, although Israel has not publicly claimed responsibility. It remains unclear why Israel carried out the attack and whether it was a one-time operation or part of a larger strategic plan. Lebanon’s Public Health Minister confirmed the death toll, which includes two children, and noted that around 10% of the injured are in critical condition.
