Sen. Lindsey Graham insists embattled GOP candidate Mark Robinson should argue his own case

Sen. Lindsey Graham expressed concern about reports that North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson made lewd posts on a pornographic website over a decade ago. Despite denying the allegations, Robinson is facing backlash as he runs for re-election. Graham suggested that if the accusations are true, Robinson is unfit for office, but if false, he should sue for libel.

North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein criticized Robinson, attributing his rise to former President Donald Trump’s support. Graham noted that regardless of the controversy surrounding Robinson, it won’t impact Trump’s chances of winning North Carolina in the Electoral College.

Graham also discussed his efforts to change Nebraska’s Electoral College system to a winner-take-all format, similar to most states. He emphasized the importance of all voters having their voices heard and expressed optimism that the legislation could pass before Election Day.

Despite the pushback from some Nebraska lawmakers, Graham, along with Sen. Pete Ricketts, believes in the necessity of implementing a winner-take-all system in Nebraska to prevent disenfranchisement of rural voters. The potential change in Nebraska’s Electoral College voting system remains a topic of debate among politicians and supporters of the reform.
