South Korean pistol shooter Kim Yeji, who captured the internet’s attention with her impressive performance at the Paris Olympics, has now ventured into acting. The 32-year-old, who won silver in the women’s 10m air pistol event, will be portraying an assassin in the spinoff short-form series “Crush” of the global film project “Asia”. Kim’s calm demeanor and distinctive shooting style, which sparked a viral sensation online, caught the eye of celebrities like Elon Musk, who suggested she should be cast in an action movie.
Kim will be starring alongside Indian actress Anushka Sen in this new role, with the entertainment firm Asia Lab expressing excitement over the potential synergy between the two talented performers. Since her Olympic success, Kim has signed with a South Korean talent agency to help manage her various activities outside of shooting.
