In the past 24 hours, at least 53 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks on their homes and shelters, according to the Palestinian Civil Defence. The attacks targeted various areas across the strip, resulting in multiple casualties, including a family from the al-Ejla family who lost 11 relatives in August. The violence has intensified, with continuous air strikes causing extensive destruction in places like Khan Younis and the Nuseirat refugee camp, where entire families have been killed.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the violence and called for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all hostages. The casualties from the conflict continue to rise, with over 41,000 people killed and many more injured in Gaza, while in Israel, at least 1,139 people have lost their lives in the Hamas-led attacks.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have conducted raids and arrests in various towns and villages, detaining several Palestinians. The raids add to the ongoing tensions and violence in the region, prompting further calls for de-escalation and a commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
