Netflix is producing a docuseries from 50 Cent about allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual assault against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The series will be directed by Alexandria Stapleton and is currently in production. The project aims to give voice to the voiceless and present authentic and nuanced perspectives, while also highlighting the broader contributions of hip-hop culture.
50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television banner and Stapleton’s House of Nonfiction are executive producing the series, with Texas Crew Productions also involved. Proceeds from the documentary will support sexual assault victims. Combs, who has faced multiple lawsuits and allegations, was arrested in New York on charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Despite pleading not guilty, he remains in custody after being denied bail.
The series will also explore allegations made by various individuals, including former employees and a model, against Combs. The rapper-producer has previously denied all allegations, asserting that he did not engage in any wrongdoing. The series will shed light on the complex narrative surrounding the allegations and aims to paint a more nuanced picture of the situation. Netflix’s involvement in the series was officially confirmed, with 50 Cent discussing the project earlier with The Hollywood Reporter.
