In his interview with the Times, Kelly also mentioned that he had observed Trump praising Adolf Hitler. The former Trump officials said that Kelly’s claims were disturbing and shocking, but not surprising based on their experiences working with Trump. Trump denied ever praising Hitler. The Harris campaign has been highlighting Kelly’s comments in an effort to show who Trump really is, according to those who worked closely with him. The campaign released a new ad featuring Kelly’s audio, with Harris stating that Kelly’s claims provide a window into Trump’s true character and warning about the implications of a second term. Undecided voters in a focus group held by the campaign this week found Kelly to be credible and non-partisan, causing some to reconsider voting for Trump.
