CBS Sports and ESPN have both released their lists of the top college basketball players heading into the 2024-25 season, with Jaxson Robinson of Kentucky making the cut in both rankings. ESPN has Robinson ranked at No. 50 overall, while CBS Sports placed him at No. 33 in their list of top 101 players. Robinson, who won the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year award last season, will be looking to make an impact at Kentucky alongside a group of transfers under coach Mark Pope.
ESPN praised Robinson’s potential to be a standout player in the SEC, noting his scoring ability and the need for consistency in his shooting. The network also highlighted the tough competition that lies ahead for Robinson and the Wildcats, with 27 of the top 100 players on ESPN’s list being players from teams on Kentucky’s schedule.
However, On3’s Jamie Shaw included both Robinson and Andrew Carr in his top 125 list, with Robinson ranked at No. 49 and Carr at No. 81 overall. The list features other top players from various teams, providing a preview of the talent that Kentucky will face throughout the upcoming season.
With high expectations and recognition from multiple sources, Robinson will have the opportunity to showcase his skills and lead Kentucky to success on the court in the upcoming season.
