“Saturday Night Live” returned to stinging satire after the November election, with Lin-Manuel Miranda reprising his role in “Hamilton” as a rapping founding father shut down by James Austin Johnson’s peacocking Trump. The skit focused on Trump’s effort to end diversity, equity, and inclusion roles in the government, as well as his inauguration. Trump mocked Miranda’s frozen stance on stage, his desire to rap, and his awards shelf, trying to get Miranda to crack. Timothée Chalamet, the host and musical guest, performed several Bob Dylan songs. “SNL” airs on NBC, a division of NBCUniversal.
