Commissioner Jason E. Fletcher and staff from the Kentucky Department of Education will be hosting two town hall meetings in Taylor Mill and Ashland to discuss assessment and accountability in education. The meetings are part of a series of events being held across the state to gather input from teachers, parents, and community members.
The town hall in Taylor Mill will take place on September 10 at the Kenton County Public Library from 6-8 p.m. The Ashland event will be held on September 13 at the Boyd County Public Library from 6-8 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from Commissioner Fletcher and participate in discussions about how assessments and accountability impact students and schools.
These town hall meetings are an important opportunity for educators and community members to provide feedback and ask questions about the state’s education policies. Commissioner Fletcher and KDE staff are committed to engaging with stakeholders across Kentucky to ensure that the assessment and accountability systems in place are effective and responsive to the needs of students and schools.
