They called for a future free of gun violence in schools and workplaces. Rep. Adam Moore spoke about his personal experiences with gun violence and introduced House Bill 214, offering tax credits for firearm safety training. Davita Gatewood, who lost a loved one to gun violence, urged elected officials to do more. Nathan Thompson, a survivor of a school shooting, highlighted the importance of safe storage laws and background checks in preventing gun violence. The event, organized by Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, focused on the need for greater education and training about guns, as well as crisis aversion and rights retention orders. Participants emphasized the importance of feeling safe from gun violence in all aspects of life.
