The Missouri State Highway Patrol has confirmed 10 fatalities from severe storms on Friday that produced 19 tornadoes across the state. The fatalities were reported across four counties, with six deaths in Wayne County, two in Ozark County, and one each in Jefferson and Butler Counties. The storms brought tornado-warned conditions, 90 mph gusts, hail, and heavy rain. Six tornadoes may have touched down in the St. Louis region, with possible impacts in Rolla, Union, Villa Ridge, Bridgeton, Florissant, and Arnold in Missouri, as well as O’Fallon and Lebanon in Illinois. The National Weather Service is conducting surveys to confirm the final tornado counts. The Missouri State Highway Patrol provided a photo of the storm-damaged area. Authorities are continuing to assess the damage and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
